Overview

Clear, smooth skin, safely and professionally

Milia are small, white or yellowish cysts that form just beneath the surface of the skin when keratin becomes trapped. They commonly appear around the eyes, cheeks, and nose and, while harmless, they cannot be removed by squeezing at home. Attempting to do so can damage the skin and cause scarring.

At Radiant Health Clinic, milia are removed professionally using a sterile technique. A fine sterile needle is used to carefully open the skin over the milium, allowing the trapped keratin to be released. The procedure is quick, precise, and effective, with immediate visible results.

  • Immediate removal, results visible in the same appointment
  • Safe, sterile technique by a trained practitioner
  • No scarring when performed correctly by a professional
  • Suitable for delicate areas including around the eyes
  • Quick treatment, multiple milia can be treated in one session
  • No downtime required

Common questions

Common questions

Can I remove milia at home?

We strongly advise against attempting to remove milia at home. Squeezing or picking at milia can damage the surrounding skin and cause scarring or infection. Professional removal is quick, safe, and effective.

Will the milia come back?

Treated milia are permanently removed. However, new milia can form over time, particularly if the underlying cause (such as heavy skincare products or sun damage) is not addressed. Your practitioner can advise on prevention.

Is milia removal painful?

Most patients experience minimal discomfort, a brief sharp sensation as the needle opens the skin. The procedure is very quick.

How many milia can be treated in one session?

Multiple milia can be treated in a single session. Your practitioner will assess and advise on the most appropriate approach.

Are milia dangerous?

No. Milia are entirely harmless and not associated with any health risk. They are a cosmetic concern only.
